Actor, scriptwriter and director, Andrea Preti makes his debut in the cinema with a story inspired by his personal life and his family. “I had a true story – says Preti – and I felt I needed to tell it urgently”. Stefania Rocca is the female protagonist of this film, interpreting a charming psychologist with a touching and delicate performance.

Cinema: preview in Rome for “Il segreto di Otello”

After the screening at 65th BerlinaleIl segreto di Otello by Francesco Ranieri Martinotti, has been presented in its Italian preview on Sunday 12th in Rome, at Cinema Farnese Persol in the central square Campo De’ Fiori .

The documentary tells the story of the restaurant Otello alla Concordia, founded in 1948 by Otello and Nora Caporicci near Spagna Square. The restaurant become in a few years one of the favourite places for many directors. Ettore Scola, Citto Maselli, Giorgio Arlorio, Ugo Gregoretti, Elsa Martinelli, Alessandro Haber, Ennio Fantastichini, Luca Barbarossa, Adriana Chiesa di Palma, Luca Barbarossa, Francesca Schiavo, Luca Sapio and Andrea Sisti are only a few names among all the important protagonists of this documentary. In the film, their interviews are intertwined  with unpublished videos, such as those of: Robert De Niro, Mario Monicelli, Pete Seeger, Armando Trovajoli.
