SYNOPSIS

The musician Daniele di Bonaventura, with its various instruments (bandoneon, harpsichord, piano) and trumpeter Paolo Fresu, are preparing to make a record as a duo inspired by Bach fugues, in collaboration with Manfred Eicher, musician-producer of home record label ECM. In the weeks preceding the recording, the two musicians are living in a different preparation. Di Bonaventura is composing and studying the tracks in the studio of his family home in Fermo. Paolo Fresu, instead, finds his inspiration while on tour, during his breaks and the suspension in the non-places of transit between a concert and another. The day of registration arrives. The two musicians meet Eicher in the place that the producer has chosen for them. There, in the silence of a place out of time, the music begins to take its shape.
