RIFF-Rome Independent Film Festival

From 24 November to 1 December 2016 reurns the 15th edition of the Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF), at Savoy Cinema in Rome. On this special occasion, more than one hundred films and “independent” documentaries will be shown in absolute Italian and European preview.

New in this edition is the LGBTQ-themed section, which includes various titles of award-winning works from international festivals.

During the Festival, directed by Fabrizio Ferrari, ample space will be given  to Italian films in partnership with CINEDEAF and a part of them will be subtitled for deaf-dumb people.

In this edition, in the out of competition section, will be present US, Spain, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina including the USA exhibition.

The review on Claudio Caligari includes his three films – Toxic Love (1983), The smell of the night (1998), Do not be evil (2015) and for the twentieth anniversary of the end of the Bosnian war there will be a Review of Sarayevo by Giancarlo Bocchi .

In addition, the Croatian festival KINOOKUS where will be presented a long with the formula cine restaurant and the Spanish festival ALFICION, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute.

With the contribution of the Ministry for Cultural Activities (DGC) and the Directorate of Culture, Performing Art and Sport of the District of Lazio, every year the Roma Independent Film Festival is recording more and more appreciations and proves to be an important meeting for the Independent Cinema.
