RIFF – the Rome Independent Film Festival is a cultural association whose members are professional and Cinema lovers. Since 2000, RIFF’s aim has been to repress a unique showcase for the best independent film productions held off the official market, in order to promote and diffuse their potential.
The Festival’s particular eye is upon both italian and international independent filmakers and their works; the challenge here is to make them visible, supporting and showing their essence to spectator and to professionals in the field. That’s a dynamic offering, which is renewed every year, that looks up at the drifts and changes described through special movies. These particular movies are no guilt to be off the official markey that feeds showbiz. RIFF appraises both the creativity and the independence of these productions, offering spectators debut films and national or European previews.
A selected jury will award prizes to films that will be chosen among different categories. Further, chosen shorts will have the possibility to be funded for future projects.
The ROME Independent Film Festival actively collaborates in partneship with other Festivals and national and foreign istitutions, such as Embassies and cultural centers. Such a cooperation aims at strengthen the promotion of the Indie market and its works, to have them offered to RIFF’s public.
