SYNOPSIS
Magic Island narrates Andrea’s intense and touching journey. He is the son of Vincent Schiavelli, a well known italian american actor, acclaimed for his numerous roles (above all in Ghost and in One flew over the cuckoo’s nest ).In 1997 Vanity Fair has indicated him as one of the most important  typecast actor of the american cinema. In this documentary Andrea, a young musician, leaves New York and returns to Sicily in order to get his father’s inheritance. His journey reveals to be an intimate path, a search for the relationship with the missing father  through which he attempts to give sense to life. All the journey is marked by Andrea’s music, whose repertoire spreads from  american music to ancestral sicilian songs.
