SYNOPSIS

La bella Virginia al bagno is the number of sales pitch that was made in exhibitions merchant of 800 … for a penny you could find out what really contained the tent of wonders. Game , wonder, curiosity , a dash of craftiness and wanting to have fun , the basic ingredients of the traveling show.The documentary is the story of this magical and fascinating world: the Fair, the Circus, the Amusement Park . A look behind the scenes into the lives of these early manufacturers of dreams, their old fortunes and their precarious present. The author herself recounts this world, from a unique point of view and detail. Eleonora Marino in fact belongs to a large family of “travelers “; with her, however, the tradition has been lost. She decides to embark on a journey to discover the origins of a fantasy world that she has only seen in half. A tale mingling biography and collective history, tracing the evolution of the show so popular in the streets, from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day.
