Cyrano, a talented swordsman Gascon, is secretly in love with his beautiful and noble cousin Rossana. Because of his lack of attractiveness, he keeps for himself the poetic love letters written for her, not having the courage to reveal the nature of his feelings. A fortuitous event brings Cyrano to make the acquaintance of Baron Christian, a man of great beauty but unable to talk about love. He too is in love with Ross and she reciprocates. The two suitors make a pact. Cyrano will be Cristiano’s prompter, offering him the romantic soul and the properties of language he doesn’t have. Christian, for its part, will play himself in all his beauty. Things fall apart when both are sent to the front to the whim of the bully Baron De Guiche. But it is just on the battlefield that will decide their fates and Cristiano will choose whether to accept a love of lies or give it up for good.
