CAPALBIO CINEMA RETHINKS THE FESTIVAL AND LOOKS AT SUNDANCE

GUEST OF HONOR OF THE FESTIVAL OSCAR-WINNDER PIETRO SCALIA

After 20 years of cinema, of actors and emotions Capalbio Cinema rethinks the mission of the festival. So the festival, which by vocation and DNA approached the young to the Masters and has bet on dialogue between cinema and other disciplines, sets new goals.

The 21st edition, to be held July 24 to 27, will be all in the name of REGENERATION and dedicated to the masters of the future, young talents to whom the festival is aimed and on which, in a spirit of refounding, wants to bet.

“The twenty-first edition, with the front of Zero (021) – says Thomas Mottola – expresses our desire to renew ourselves and try to imagine the next “Twenty years of Capalbio Cinema” along with young filmmakers and major international institutions.”

Foreign delegations, including that of the Sundance Festival, will be guests in Capalbio to establish a dialogue with a view to the internationalization of the festival. Capalbio therefore as cross-roads, where, in the future, the great cinema is to rethink and young talents can collaborate with each other, meet their future and establish themselves in the world.

Guest of honor for the 021 will be the Oscar winner Pietro Scalia, editor of Ridley Scott and of the Spider Man saga, who will hold a master class open to the public, which will include, among others, the young authors in competition in Capalbio and graduates of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome.

Capalbio Cinema directed by Thomas Mottola was founded by Stella Leonetti. Godfather of the Festival was at the time Michelangelo Antonioni. The Festival has the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Tuscany Region and the City of Capalbio and the patronage among others of: Anica, Agiscuola, ADCI, FICE, SNGCI.
