VII edition for Ortigia Film Festival, directed by Lisa Romano. The festival will be on from July 9th to 16th, ant its guest of honour will be the Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi, considered leader of the third generation of Polish filmmakers. He will present his new feature film Foreign body.
The official selection is focused both on young independent cinema and on more affirmed productions, always looking at the expressions that better show the vitality of Italian cinema industry.
Claudio Caligari, the Italian director recently demised, will be the protagonist of this year’s retrospective. A focus will be also dedicated to Mario Monicelli, with a photographic exhibition titled “100 anni di cinema di Mario Monicelli – Le foto di Mario dall’archivio di Rap”. And a tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini, in the 40th anniversary of his death.
